Coming soon....a huge group of mini sets! I just need to finish a few more and tinker. I was inspired by last weekend's Relay for Life event. My stylist cheryl ツ and I have been brainstorming for this since last week.
Okay so this is my second hex after the baby in my avatar! I didn't make her a banner yet because I don't think she's finished.
I'm happy with like 80% of her, but two things are still causing me problems.
The first problem is the tendril of hair by her cheek on our right side (her left) rotates in a very strange way when she's facing away from me? Her hair is all BMP. I made it non-rotating, so I can't figure out why it does that while the nearly identical strand on the opposite side of her face stays put.
The other thing I'm having problems with is that I wanted to place a small pumpkin paintball on her knee to be visible when she's posing, but no matter how much I tweak I can't seem to get the paintball centered right.
tori that's so gorgeous wtf! especially for only your second hex! its hard to say what the hair issue could be without more context, but i'd hazard a guess that is part of the trials and tribulations of bmp hair.
here's the placement i usually use for knee tats! it usually needs a little tweaking. 71, 115 8, -18, -1 47 -1 0 -1 -1 9 0, 0
I have these things in progress right now. A pair of twins, a matching outfit set, and a new hairstyle. I'm so stuck on the curly hair. I want to basically make a curly counterpart to my Swishy Hair but I don't know if this is really it or not. What do you guys think? I also did half her hair with tips and half without so I could try and figure out which works best for this look. I feel like I would like the curly hair more with different bangs and I do want to learn how to make drawn bangs, but that seems so overwhelming at the moment.
I have a lot to do still on both of these girls. I want to mess with the crowns of both girls a lot, that was just a placeholder using a recolor of Rosetta's old crown to see how it would look with a crown. I also want to change the colored tips on the brunette twin, I don't like them being mirrored. I want to make each strand individually colored but this was as far as I got tonight.
I'm also not sure if I should switch up the fairies. Right now the twin with purple eyes has the purple fairy and the twin with blue eyes has the blue fairy, but should that be switched so they have fairies opposite of their eye color? I kind of like that idea, so it can be like the fairy is the sprite form of the other twin following the main twin around or something lol.
-edit- Not sure if this is a better or worse attempt at curls. It seems kind of mullet-y looking to me but I don't know what I could do to fix it lol.
Aww, thank you, Trisha! That means a lot to me! I'm still rather frustrated with the blonde girl's hair because I feel like it still isn't quite right. I like the outline of it, I just don't know how to ombre bmps or draw streaks well enough to give it the dimension it really needs to be complete. I feel like drawn curls are nothing without contrast to really illustrate the fact they are curls.
To stop myself from going mad focusing so hard on that curly hair, I made this girl to see if I might like the mullet-y hair any better - and I do lol. I feel like the messiness of this hair would be fun to stuff bird nests or beehive bits in or something of the sort. <3
-edit- I wondered why I was digging this color scheme so much and then I realized because it is so similar to Eden rofl! Red hair with pink & yellow hair accessories. It is a good look, though!
-edit 2- Oooh, it looks pretty cute as pigtails, too!
