so, i disappeared for a little while because my dumb laptop crashed. i actually bought it at a pawn shop for a super good deal and it was 1 day past the warranty when it decided to die on me. thankfully, i still have my babyz saved in my email, but everything else is gone! [/fml]
i'm curious what computers/laptops everyone uses. i'd like something that will run viavoice without a problem. i have a netbook that will run the game, but it sucks sooo badly because the screen is so small.
It kinda depends on a load of things really and what you're looking for!
I have an MSI laptop, which I have always liked, but I'd like to get a new one in the next couple years and I want an Acer or another MSI depending on the availability and price.
So it reallllly depends what exactly you would use it for & your price range? I can't exactly suggest a type/model of laptop because each computer is really tailored to what you would use it for.
If you want something that can just run Babyz, internet, etc. very basic use, then honestly, any laptop would be fine, actually. & from there I can suggest good brands. HP & Dells are usually pretty good and nicely priced fr something very basic. I personally wouldn't get an Asus from my experience, but I've had horrible issues with Asus monitors, and my husband wants to throw his Asus laptop in the trash. I actually like MacBooks, but for the purpose of Babyz & running old games, I'd personally never get one either, but I do like them! It's just the software is different and hard to use to with old games. I've used a Toshiba, MSI, Acer, MacBook, ChromeBook, and I've liked them all! I used a Dell once and thought the make of it was too bulky and heavy, but the computer ran fine. I never had an issue with an HP either we had!
If you want something MORE than just basic, then that's a whole 'nother can of worms and I would actually recommend specific brands and models then! IE. My brother is game developer, so he needs a very demanding computer and not a laptop with 2-3 monitors. & his fiance is a game artist, so in order to run the art programs she uses, she also needs something with more power. I personally love to play video games including the newest, but I don't care if they are run at the BEST GRAPHICS EVER. I just want them to run, so my current computer is also a bit more demanding. Probabaly in between my brother's and his fiance's.
So it just depends what you would use it for!
& IDR your location, but I honestly wouldn't buy a computer from anywhere except here: www.microcenter.com/ The customer service is amazing and I always find exactly what I want for the right price!
