I can't remember how many years ago I read the first book, but during the last school year my teacher wanted us to compare a book and a movie, so I chose the first book Eragon (the movie follows the plot very loosely). I remembered how much I loved the series so read all the books again and got the last book a few days ago. I'm glad I did.
The fighting really does seem to drag out at points, but it also makes me feel more sympathy towards the characters and all the things they have to fight through. But after a while most of the battle seem the same to me.
When you get the chance, Bobbi Jo I really do recommend it. I thought there were only 3 books up until I finished the 3rd book and it told me that the 4th and final would be released soon. I had to wait a few years for the book to come out and lost interest until recently.
Yeah, he took too damn long writing it! It annoys me when authors split a trilogy into a quartet >.< I like a couple of characters, but they're not main ones - I would just like someone to stag, Eragon or Ayra or Roran coz they go on a bit
I've never seen the movie, I heard it didn't do so well and they're aren't plans to make the others?
I was so mad when he split it up. I was nearing the end of the book and I was like...this doesn't even seem close to the climax of the story. So yeah. Then I realized it said he split it up and I was quite disappointed.
I like the characters for the most part. Eragon and Roran seem so protective of people and I like that with characters in stories. I find it sweet, haha xD
The movie was quite terrible. It didn't follow the plot well, and because of that I think it's impossible for them to turn the other books into movies. Unless they start from the beginning again. I don't recommend seeing it as I think it was a waste of time, but that's just my opinion.
I have a lot on my kindle that I want to read as well. I am currently reading the Cedar Cove series by Debbie Macomber. Has anyone read Fifty Shades of Grey? It has been the top Amazon download for awhile and I am curious. I heard mixed reviews on it. It is supposedly quite erotic, but lacking in plot development. I just wonder. If it is worth the time. I am currently 49th on the hold list at the library.
I must add that I am not a book snob and I'd not think any less of any one reading them (my friend who never reads text to say she was reading them) so it's great if it gets people reading but it's definitely not something I'm going to choose to read.
