There's lots of places that will do your makeup for you! I'm not sure where and I'm not sure if they're free or not, but I know mac does one in the UK which is about £50 where you get it done and also get £50 worth of products, so basically you're buying the products and getting your makeup done free
I know lots of other places do the same thing, some free some not, definitely look into it!
Makeup can be expensive! But there are really good starter brands you can find. The one I adore in the UK is MUA which is superdrugs own brand of makeup. You can get a full face of makeup there for around £20 and then gradually build up to pricier things?
The priciest stuff I buy is my foundation, concealer & mascara, but they all come under £8 each! I refuse to spend a lot on money (e.g. £16 or so on one singular lipstick) so I'm pretty loyal to my cheap brands!
i browsed the bh cosmetics website tonight - they have a lot of stuff around the $10 or less mark, and i'm in love with some of their palettes, and everything is good quality. They might be a good place to check for starting out too!
If I want something expensive I'll just ask for it for Christmas, but honestly sometimes its not worth it!
I got the toothbrush shaped makeup brushes for £50 ON SALE!! But the 'gold' plate is scratching and peeling off and they're not very strong at all, I hear them crack every time I use them so I have to be gentle, I could have got those exact brushes for £16 from Primark and they'd be the same quality
Cheap stuff still works! Maybe not as 'amazing' as some pricey brands, but I think my makeup comes out pretty dope without the unnecessarily large price tag just because it has a special brand on it, as long as it's not tested on animals in happy!
I got a set of 30 makeup brushes for christmas, only $8 and theyre amazing. the bristles dont fall out ever, theyre super soft, and the handles are wood so theyre sturdy! (and they came in a pink leather brush holder!!!) also theyre pink you can get them on ebay and theyre way cheap
Yup! I've resulted to brushes my mum bought in duty free for super cheap because they're such good quality! I use them more than my special nanshy brushes I purchased because these ones are more compact for application whereas the nanshy ones are too 'loose' and fluffy making them better for blending
i finally got around to washing my brushes last night and now they're all soft and fluffy and cleaaaaaan! Well, until i use them again rather, lol. I honestly didn't realize how much product was in all of them, some of them were pretty saturated.
i looooove makeup so much. i'm obsessed with liquid lipsticks, i have quite a few jeffree star lipsticks, i also love limecrime and sugarpill lipsticks. nyx is a really good, affordable brand and i have a ton of their lipsticks too, i'll have to post a picture of my collection sometime!
i also love eyeshadow palettes, i have a couple of too faced ones, both of jeffree star's, a couple of sugarpill ones and a few nyx ones too. nyx is my favourite ~drugstore~ brand, i also really like makeup revolution bc they do really good dupes of high end brands! i also really love nyx single eyeshadows and they're only like £3.50 each
also highlighters are amazing, jeffree star ones are sooo pigmented, i have 4 of them and then a couple of MUA ones which are also really good considering they're only £3! and aidan has bought me an anastasia beverly hills glow kit in america so i'm super excited to try that out when he gets back, he got me the aurora one but i also really want to get the moonchild one bc it's so pretty
i'm literally obsessed with makeup, i spend way too much money on it if i'm honest lol
Ooh ooh Harry maybe you need a darker shade of contour? It's actually such a vital part to the makeup but it can either be super subtle or extremely noticeable Basically if you have a good foundation it'll make your whole face one colour making it look kinda dull and flat, which is why you do a contour to add subtle (or not so subtle) dimensions!
And trust me I have no clue about all those damn colours, I just want a nice brown and a nice nude pink because i already have a red, pink & purple, but lipstick is one of my fav things so I'll happily buy more no matter how similar they are, I gave my niece 10 red lipsticks to add to her growing collection
Omg I neeeeeeeed some unicorn & mermaid stuff so bad but I am a poor bean so I'm waiting until Christmas in the hopes my family will give me mystical makeup stuff
contouring comes in different colours?
damn now I'm going to have to spend more money on my sister
I mean I'l have to do that anyway because my other sister stole the contouring stuff and she won't let me do her makeup because apparently I did a bad job or something?? So now I have to find my sister another contouring thing and also I want to get her some blue eyeshadow for when she next lets me have a go because blue is best
Lol maybe I should get her blue lipstick too
And is blue mascara still in fashion? When I was in secondary school that was a big thing and I never understood why
God makeup is confusing, isn't it? I'm glad I have no interest in it other than watching videos for the colours and as background noise, and occasionally trying to make my sister look pretty
(I like nail polish videos too. I just really like the colours)
