Blue mascara is in fashion at festivals but not in everyday life, unless you're me, I lost my blue mascara but I'd happily go out wearing it!
Umm okay so I arrived home to a parcel, yay, and I wasn't really expecting anything good
I spent £2 on a set of 10 eyelashes, plastic because ew mink, I ordered ones that were tapered at the ends rather than blunt but I didn't actually expect that, I expected to get something really cheap looking considering, y'know, £2 for 10 off wish
I was sooo pleasantly surprised, they look amazing and I now have 10 of them! 10! They're beyond worth the price holy heck and if anyone wants to link let me know and I'll see if I can find It!
Here you can see how long and pretty they are, they've literally made my day
And here you can just see how pretty they are, I hate how most fake eyelashes are all the same length, they end up looking like just one big lump of blackness and it's blegh, but these are just 😍😍😍 they have multiple lengths meaning it adds some depth and honestly I've never felt prettier!
I've hated my lashes lately, so getting these has just made my whole makeup look now!
There's lots of places that will do your makeup for you! I'm not sure where and I'm not sure if they're free or not, but I know mac does one in the UK which is about £50 where you get it done and also get £50 worth of products, so basically you're buying the products and getting your makeup done free
I know lots of other places do the same thing, some free some not, definitely look into it!
Makeup can be expensive! But there are really good starter brands you can find. The one I adore in the UK is MUA which is superdrugs own brand of makeup. You can get a full face of makeup there for around £20 and then gradually build up to pricier things?
The priciest stuff I buy is my foundation, concealer & mascara, but they all come under £8 each! I refuse to spend a lot on money (e.g. £16 or so on one singular lipstick) so I'm pretty loyal to my cheap brands!
I'm not sure where the closest Mac is to us but I'll look into it! We do live near a Sephora so I wonder if they'll do makeup?
I'll look into MUA as well! Like you mentioned I probably wouldn't start with pricier stuff. Plus I'm clueless about makeup so I wouldn't want to waste it haha.
ooh yeah I'm pretty sure sephora do It! Isn't it full of multiple different makeup brands? I'm pretty sure I've heard people say they've been to sephora to have their makeup done but I can't be certain as I'm not in America
Okay so firstly I would just like to acknowledge my eyebrows took me less than a minute and they were still on point. I may have been too hard on my angled brush, I kept saying it was too thick to even attempt to use it on brows and using a thinner & cheaper one but my goodness did it hold the product & apply it sooo nicely, my cheaper one doesn't really hold much but this one was just amaze! I haven't used my "Nanshy" brushes in a while because I like to use a lot of brushes and I only have the 7 piece eye brush set, but I might switch back to it because it seems to work so much nicer! Specifically I used the "Angled Detailer EB02 Eye & Lip Makeup Brush" which is just beaut, and the best part is it's 100% vegan & cruelty free! They ship to US & UK and they're very good quality if you're ever looking for brushes! They're not cheap at £30/$42 for 7 but it's definitely worth it! I've had them for 2 years and they've always held the product well, but I only dragged them out today because I was in a rush and they were at the top of my bag!
Now I'm done swooning over makeup brushes Halp!
I'm going to a shopping center on tuesday and other than clothes, I'm obviously getting makeup I'm completely skipping MAC because cruelty & stuff so plz skip that but it does have a superdrug & boots which I will be going to because I live there Boots now stock NYX which I desperately want to get some of, all I really want is liquid matte lipsticks & magnetic eyeshadows or full eyeshadow palettes
Does anyone have any NYX suggestions? or any makeup sold in boots/superdrug really! I'd love to see palettes you have, or better yet singular pots because I was hoping to get the refill shadows to build my own box also lipstick colours! I'm desperate for a very light but nude pink! Not coral or peach or barbie, just a nude pink so if anyone knows any shades that are like that let me know because I'm sooo desperate, the one I'm wearing in the picture above was the closest I got, all the pictures lied and when I got it it was sooo much darker than I wanted, the right kind of pink just too dark! Plz tell me there's a lipstick that exists in that colour ;.;
oh also only highstreet prices please because I can't bring myself to spend more than £10 on a liquid lipstick, my priciest one is my £5 soon to be £7 when I buy my first NYX lipstick
aleisha 🥛 i'm a bit late BUT! if you're looking for a nice pink nude definitely check out the nyx lip lingeries, you can usually swatch them in store so you can see what they look like, they have some gorgeous colours! as for their eyeshadow, i really love their ultimate shadow palettes but they are £16 so it's a bit pricey! their single shadows are really good too, i love the shades 'flustered', 'addiction' and 'gold lust.' i'd definitely recommend them!
ANYWAY the reason i'm here is because i got one of my colourpop orders today and i wanted to show off how pretty the packaging is!!
Lmao don't worry Christmas is just around the corner
I did buy 3 of the lip lingeries and I adore them, swatched every colour in 2 shops and couldn't find what I was looking for but I did find tons of pretty shades none the less! I went out about a week ago and treated myself to 3 more lipsticks, this time liquid suede! I would have got 4 but the lady at the counter was rude and unhelpful and wouldn't let me use my £9 worth of points -.-;
I don't really like the liquid suede lipstick though the colours are pretty but it stays sticky and I hate it, I like the lip lingerie because they dry and they're transfer proof, other than that they're great lipsticks, it's just a pain because I wanna wear lipsticks I can kiss in otherwise they feel pointless lmao
I did find the shade I wanted from a different shop but I didn't have the money after buying my liquid suedes, so mad
I like cool colours a lot, so when I say nude pink I meant with blue undertones, so I found a super pretty pinky purple that's super light but that works because I have Casper level skin, but I'm gonna have to pray I get it for Christmas or wait until January to treat myself to it ;.;
I have so much NYX on my Christmas list, I think it's my new obsession haha, so thank you for the recommendations!
Omg the packaging is stunning I die, there's so many cute retro toy & show makeup coming out lately and I want it allllll ;.;
but alas, I'm not sure hair is physically capable of getting light enough for such vibrant colors.... I've never been able to bleach it to the proper platinum color usually needed for brights or pastels
SO, I gotta ask, how do you guys lighten your hair nicely??? I'd prefer not to go to a salon tbh cause I have never really had good experiences with salons (no black salons on the area and the straight-haired ladies that usually work on my hair fuck up my curls EVERY time). Or, alternatively, where could I get a decent wig that looks like that lmao.......
it’s 100% different for every single person on the planet coz everyone’s hair is so different.
as you know i’ve recently been able to get mine from dark natural brown with several layers of black dye soaked into the mid-sections to platinum - for me that was 6-8 boxes of max-strength bleach, applied 2 at a time (my hair is much longer than yours) over the course of a fortnight.
is it bad for your hair? yup can i recommend it not knowing how it will affect YOUR hair? nope
i’ve been bleaching the living daylights out of my hair to do fashion colours for about 5 years so i know how my hair reacts to bleach abuse (THANKFULLY IT TAKES IT LIKE A BITCH :D) but you won’t know until you try 😱
the “problem” is, if you go to a salon and ask them to lighten it they’ll go ohhh we have to do that slowly and they’ll say it’ll take 3 sessions and 6 months haha. BUT it means it’ll be safe and your hair isn’t going to snap off if it hates bleach coz they’ll do it so carefully and use lots of special products that home box bleaches just do NOT have (ie olaplex) to make sure it damages the hair as little as possible.
so yeah. home bleaching = a gamble. salon bleaching = expensive and takes ages but guaranteed safe results eventually.
𝓡iley 🧁 i'm not sure if you'd be able to get a wig that looks exactly like that but webster wigs does have some nice sunset ombré wigs! alternatively you could buy a very light blonde wig and dye it yourself! there's quite a few videos on how to dye synthetic wigs! some good wig companies are uniwigs, trendywigs, heahair, everydaywigs and webster wigs! <3
