I spent like... 1 day in the BC back in the day. I think it was on Milk but I'm not sure, and I joined up all excited like "yeah! Time to play this cute game!"
And then I saw that to adopt any babies you needed two people to vouch that you're a good person or something? So I was like "wtf well I don't know anyone here and they're all pretty grouped up already so that's never going to happen" and buggered off.
From the looks of it, it was much stricter than the PC was. My younger self could not be bothered with that kind of thing.
I remember lurking a lot, i joined ages and ages ago but was always so afraid of breaking rules, and the drama between two main forums -- because one was supposed to be much stricter, and the other one didn't care, and if you belonged to one you couldn't belong to another, etc.
I -think??- i used to be a part of honeypot nursery or something like that under a name like "Curi-Kit" or something bizarre (I've had 50 bajillion usernames, to hell if i remember any of them lmao) and i got SUPER EXCITED when i made my first ever toy. It was a blanket that I had edited in Paint that had a little stuffed animal in the middle (there was a duck and a pig i think?). I didn't have my own website, because I couldn't hex well -- so someone was super sweet and hosted it on their site for me lol.
I also remember a super edgy website that had like, downloads for drugs and a gun and super scene/emo stuff
Tina 🎄 I absolutely LOVED your sets and still do. You had a voodoo doll set and it was my favorite of all time back in the day.
I remember the days when a single adoption could have around 15+ people in the hat. That was intense! I specifically remember Jane putting up adoptions and the amount of people applying would just be insane.
