after 20 years, this obviously isn't gonna happen lolol but we can still dream right? i remember we used to do 'petitions' and talk about this all the time in the old bc. if mindscape were to make a comeback [does mindscape even still exist?] and launch a babyz 2, what things would you like to see?
bye 256 bmp hello better graphics
something similar to a 'studio' where we can create our own hairstyles/clothes without having to hack into the actual game
an actual grandma's house that you can visit instead of an imaginary one across the street in the backyard
more playscenes. a better house
the ability to go to places like actual shops/grocery stores/etc
HOW COOL WOULD IT BE IF IT WERE LIKE THE SIMS ONLINE AND WE COULD GO TO EACH OTHERS' HOUSES IN GAME
i still want petz and babyz combined to become an actual thing
is it bad that i still get excited over the mere thought of this?
A little off topic, but sometimes I wonder what the game creators would think of all the amazing things that the BC has added on to the game over the years.
I would definitely love to be able to visit other houses, that would be so fun. There was an online game called GoPets that was kind of like that for Petz, but it shut down after a few years. Users could also make custom content and sell it to other users in an online market.
I swear I remember reading somewhere that a Babyz 2 for the PC was in development at some point, but they scrapped it to work on some DS babyz game instead? It was something like that.
I would have loved the combo of Babyz & Petz as well. Being able to visit people's houses would be so cool! I also agree with Jamie in that I have always longed for some more in-depth actions in the game to make it a bit less predicable and overall give players more to do. Things like cleaning the babyz more thoroughly or have them actually be able to walk/toddle around when they hit 100 on the age sliders. I also would have loved some sort of shopping center location as mentioned in the first post. More varied and interactive playscenes like the ones in Petz 5 would have been amazing as well!
When Ubisoft started making Nintendo shovelware, I was so sad. I'd always wanted Babyz on console, but not like that... never like that... *shudder*
But yeah, how cute would a shopping center be? Maybe you could put your babyz in the cart and they could reach out to treats they want? And to build on that, what if you could walk through a sort of "park" scene with them in strollers? A more expanded and connected world would really enhance the experience.
