I'm interested to hear what the diets of all you guys are. Whether you struggle with your weight or not, I'd just like to compare the way I have and am now eating to how you guys normally eat so I can figure out where I stand. Ta!
I just joined weight watchers again last night because my eating habits have become horrible and I need to retrain myself. Also, because I've been working out since September and have barely lost any weight it's super frustrating. I'm not someone who is obsessed with their weight or anything, but I feel like after my second child, the weight did not just fall off like it did with my first so I'm trying something new. I lost 15 lbs with WW the last time so I hopefully I can drop SOMETHING...we'll see...
What type of diet are you thinking? I wouldn't try anything too restrictive because although you might lose weight, it also may lead to bingeing and what not.
I'm not on a diet per se I'm just eating better, anything that isn't some vegetable that barely has any calories in it will count as a snack and I can only have two a day under 100 calories, but meals are just sensible and nothing like fake chicken or anything like that.
i did the atkins diet for over a year and lost 70 pounds. i cut out most carbs and ate tons of meat. i also didn't drink regular soda. it came off fast, but it comes back on fast, too, if you don't watch! i've gained all the weight back sadly i really need to start eating more healthily, but i love chocolate and junk food so much lol.
I don’t necessarily care about weight. As long as I’m healthy with the regular check ups I have. The only health issues I have are unrelated to weight and all about stress and genetics! 😂 that being said, I’m at my heaviest I have ever been and while my husband doesn’t care, I’d like to be thinner to fit in my old clothes again! Because for the first time a lot of clothes aren’t fitting now.
I have learned in the past that you can eat whatever you like but in extreme moderation and very little of the yummy fatty foods. Lately, I just don’t care and I have a very sedentary job. However, yesterday, all I ate was a muffin around 6am. I had an early dinner and a small bit of ice cream. It’s really about portion size and control. A good way to remember it is to half what you normally eat. This has always worked for me in the past but with extreme stress I like to eat!! And with extreme depression I lose weight because I can’t eat, but I haven’t been depressed in a very very long time. Just over stressed to my max limit!!
I’ve lost 40+ lbs in the past from just portion control. You still eat daily, don’t feel starved and can eat your favorites! Currently, I’d ideally like to lose 70lbs. But 40lbs is the goal for now to get me back to where I used to be when Ian and I first met! Haha
I am currently doing Slimming World to get rid of baby weight. I've lost 12 lbs in 5 weeks. I really like it because you can eat as much pasta and noodles as you want which are my favourite foods and have chocolate everyday, so it fits into my lifestyle pretty well. I still have a long way to go. I need to be able to fit back into my old clothes because I cannot afford new ones haha!
i used to really care about my weight, but between ibs and being in a happy relationship i figure i just eat what i like now tbh. i have put some on but idk the way i see it i'm happy and healthy so who cares? my diet is still reasonably healthy in any case. my crutch will always be potatoes though. loool
My old diet/food consumption was: On a work day No breakfast and first thing I’d eat about 3/4 hours after waking was a large chocolate bar. Then I’d have my dinner a cob (aka roll, bap)/sandwich crisps (2/3 bags) chocolate and fizzy drink. Then for tea I’d eat anything from something cooked like lasagna chop shop any junk really and I’d snack on chocolate a lot between.
Now my food consumption is a lot better: Work day Make myself eat breakfast either over night oats, yogurt, cereal, toast. (One of these) Dinner sandwich, 1 packet crisp, fruit or yogurt, and a small bar chocolate. Tea I cook something lnow myself anything like pasta, steak and oven chips, jacket potato, or the odd night a takeaway. Drink I have fizzy still but not as much.
So basically I’ve just cut the rubbish food down and I’m making myself have breakfast.
I have been on and off with weight watchers for about 3 years. It is pretty effective for me when I stick to it. I am currently on again. I average about 1.5 pounds a week. I find that tracking works for me. I am less likely to spend my points on things I don’t really want.
I have on the past done the 21 day fix and all of that and for me personally I am would obsessive with it to where it was unhealthy. I try now to just be conscious of what I eat and try to exercise but its been hard. I am probably like 20 to 30 pounds from a healthy weight but you cannot really tell (except it bothers me because I feel crappy and not as energetic when I weighed less).
