Restructuring this thread to be a continual book log, so I do not need to create a new thread every year! 2019 books have been archived under a spoiler.
Books I'd like to read next: Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner Dear Justyce by Nic Stone The Lies that Bind by Emily Giffin Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens Salt of the Sea by Rita Sepetys Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
The Lunar Chronicles Rose Harbor series by Debbie Macomber The rest of the Percy Jackson series (finally...I've only taught the Lightning Thief for 4 years lol).
Currently Reading: A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah Deja Dead by Kathy Reichs
2020 Goal: 6/12 books
March Number the Stars by Lois Lowry
April City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
May The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood Dear Martin by Nic Stone One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus
June The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
I finished Mrs. Everything. I started reading it at the beach, but we were so busy I didn't get to finish it before we returned. It was a decent read. They story chronicles the lives of two sisters from the 1950s to present day. I thought the way the sisters grew throughout the decades based on pop culture was pretty cool to read. This book goes deep into women's issues and touches on other sensitive subjects as well. It is a little political, but I enjoyed reading it.
I updated the first post. Instead of making a new thread for 2020, I decided to keep a continual book log. 2019 books have been archived under a spoiler. I kept my goal simple this year: 12 books. I think I can manage 1 book a month. If I start to get over that, I may increase it. I have so many books on my to read list right now that I am just itching to start! Silly technology and games are distracting me so much from my reading goal (ie...netflix, sims, pokemon) lol.
