I do! My friend Krista actually sent me her clothes closet and she had it organized by clothing type (everyday, formal, summer, winter, accessories, etc) and each set has a folder labeled with the set name and the hexer. Most sets also include the image of the set the hexer used to display it in their mootique or on their website. I’ve tried to keep it up! It’s very handy.
I’ve also toyed with making a folder with clothes for each kid of mine, but I haven’t done that yet. It would be nice to just switch the clothes per kid and not have to worry about this set or that set or whatever!
Mine are currently in folders by hexer. Each contains separate a folder for each set along with a picture (from the hexer's shop/offering or one I've taken for the really old stuff.)
I'd love to organize by season, holiday, pattern etc but can't motivate myself to go thru and categorize them all! Just by hexer I have over 100 folders to keep track of! Since I don't have many for specific babyz, I just leave them with in the hexer's folders with their name so I know who the set 'belongs' to.
I used to do mine by season, but realized there's just too many and too much to keep up with. A lot of clothes ended up using the same IDs. I was going to start doing each set in a folder with a picture like Krista & Jenna have it, but then I realized it's too much and too many folders for me and I was like ack!! Then I decided to do it by hexer, so I still do that!
But, what I do now is that I have folders for each theme. & depending on the set it may be in 2+ themes. I have theme organized by deer, hearts, christmas, thanksgiving fall, v-day, halloween, spooky, costumes, harry potter, mushroom, rainbow, etc. & some of them have sub folders. My sea & sweets folders have sub folders like boat, mermaid, swimsuits or ice cream, cupcake, etc. This works the best for me because then I can dress up kids per occasion and I love themes on beebz so it really helps to match my kids with clothing! & sometimes a folder may only have one set! Like sugarskull is it's own thing because I only have sugarskull set, but it's also in the halloween folder!
I have each set in its own folder with the image that came with the set, as everyone suggested.
What I haven't heard suggested is that I have a second folder I called Clothes Closet that just has all those images for all the sets. In that folder the name of the image has the name of the set and some keywords for example: "Wildflower flowers easter spring.PNG" And so if I search for any of those terms, all my easter stuff will be found. I've been thinking of adding colors to the image name too.
Rather than putting all the clothes into folders upon folders, I just keep all the images in one folder so I could just scroll thru the all the images and only use the Search feature if I'm looking for a specific group.
i need to redownload all my clothes from my emails when i get my computer set up again, but i usually kept mine organized by baby! i think going forward since i have this chance to start fresh, i'll probably organize several different ways. maybe by season and then theme? i also really like the idea of doing set images with them so i know what each picture is. i really wish we could change the thumbnails of each clo file to be a picture!
