Keeping up with this inspiration from the advent calendar, I decided to mod a thing-- a basic thing, but a thing nonetheless.


Using a texture from [BAD_DEATH]

I do have a few questions on making clothes that would probably be answered if I read some more things but I'm lazy to read the things so I'ma just ask:

-- Should I add like a "hair" or "fur" texture to the cuff-links/sleeves? 
Do we have a list of all the textures found in the Build folder?

-- I assume that ID numbers are an issue (like they are in Petz). I found this: milkbc.proboards.com/thread/58083/rcdata-list
Is this still used by everyone?

-- I'm pretty terrible at Photo editing so the Tinker step usually has me beat. Does anyone have a template or advice for this? I use GIMP.

-- Why aren't ball numbers on LNZPro :C
Do you guys use LNZPro or something else for editing?

I think it looks good as is but I personally would! I think things look even better when everything is textured.
Not sure if there’s a list of textures, sorry ):

-ID numbers are unfortunately an issue but no I don’t think that list is used though. It may be used by the people who claimed numbers but overall there’s been so many new members and hexers who’ve joined the community so I think people just pick a number and hope it doesn’t clash with anything haha. Lots of people switch their clothing out in game constantly (it’d be way too hard to have everything you own in game) so clashing shouldn’t be too big of an issue tbh.

-babyz.org has tons of great hexing resources and they do have tinker templates which is really helpful! On the bottom right click “hexing clothes” and you should be able to find a link to tinker templates there. I personally just use paint.net for this. I make the clothing part transparent and then copy paste the pattern I used in a layer behind the template.

-people use lnz for clothing making yup! When you say ball numbers, do you mean a list of ball numbers and what body part they correlate to? If so babyz.org might have a list and I believe there’s one on milk, I’ll try to find and link it...

If there’s a specific body part you need a ball number for though definitely let us know and someone can probably help!

i think the cuffs would look cute textured. if you open the babyzrez.dll in lnzpro, you can expand the bmp menu and view all the textures that way.

we def don't use that list any more as we have used all the numbers. pretty much everyone just allows changing of their id numbers if you want to use things that clash.

rebecca answered your tinker question succinctly!

& for ball numbers, as well as the list reb linked, you can also get the numbers inside lnzpro. when you have a lnz section of file open, click 'insert' (top left of the code, in the ribbon) > 'ball number' > 'babyz'. if you click a number and press ok, that number will be placed wherever your cursor is in the code, but you can also just scroll through to browse & then press cancel.
