somehow this time of year has descended upon us and it is time to start preparations for milkmas! <3 our annual secret santa is a beloved milky tradition and i am so excited to bring it back this year. 

how does it work?

we will be accepting signups for secret santa until sunday, december 5. the quick sign-up is to ensure people plenty of time to work on their gifts! on december 6th, i will match up milkers based on skills/desires and send out PMs to let you know who you will be giving a gift to along with instructions on how to pass your gift along.

what if i don't know how to hex?

there are lots of things you can give other than hexed items, especially during the holiday season! some suggestions include coupons (such as for graphics or photoshoots), mootique gift cards, items bought from mootiques, artwork, or anything you can come up with! remember, it's the thought that counts - you might not think you're a brilliant hexer, but your recipient will be delighted by anything you make if you do hex something!

can i help make things for others to gift?

absolutely! this time of year, you are allowed to offer "giftables" in your mootiques or as a request thread, where you might offer coupons, exclusive "giftable" clothing sets/toys/items, hexies, artwork, or anything else you can think of. the catch is that they would be gift-only items, which would only be allowed to be purchased as a gift for someone's secret santa (or milk friends).

can i still play even if i don't celebrate christmas?

of course! milk secret santa is for everyone <3

can i still take part if i didn't manage to send out my gift last year?

Some things you love: disney, nail polish, vacations/vacation planning, reading, bargain shopping, and our church
Some things you like on babyz: my family to look "related" to each other, so 45, 44, or 35ish skin tones, rosies, freckles, and either very old-school traditional cute hexies like my "simple sweeties" section of my family house board, or lightly/moderately themed hexies with themes that have meaning for me. Themes currently on my possible ideas list would be: Black Hills SD (foresty themed, maybe tattoos of mount rushmore, a log cabin, aces & eights card hand, a feather in her hair like a saloon girl), or Theater/drama themed, either just general theater or one of my favorites: Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma, Brigadoon, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Moulin Rouge, or Les Miserables)
Some things you dislike on babyz: anything super un-natural, and anything that would make them look unrelated to my current babyz family.
Tell us a little bit about how you celebrate the holidays: we go to our church's candlelight service on Christmas Eve, get together with Cole's family for supper & gifts, and then go home, open our "family gift" that contains matching jammies and a movie or board game that we watch/play before bed. Christmas Day is just our immediate family, opening gifts and spending time together, possibly sledding at my in-laws if there is enough snow. We also get together with my dad & sisters, mom & sisters, and my mom's extended family. In the past we have also celebrated with Cole's mom's extended family, but that has been cancelled again due to covid. We do not have Santa as a part of Christmas at all, so milk secret santa is the only Santa activity I do, hehe

Some things you love: I am a big girly girl I do love themes like mermaid, princess, pastel, rainbow, unicorns. I love to spend time with family, absolutely adore Disney, I collect Dooney & loungefly Disney bags, I’m a big sparkly lover!
Some things you like on babyz: I am quite open with my likes on babyz, my family has a range of beautiful themes, but also non themed. I have always loved the idea of a pastel rainbow theme baby, I love freakles! And lots of them!
Some things you dislike on babyz: really unnatural eyes & not keen on too on bright coloured skin tones
Tell us a little bit about how you celebrate the holidays: we tend to have a magical Christmas morning with our boys, we have some yummy breakfast, usually bacon and sausages, the kids open their gifts from mummy and daddy and a few smaller gifts from Santa. We are having a very different Christmas this year, usually we have a big family Christmas dinner, but This year my mum, dad, 3 of my siblings are moving to Saudi Arabia, and after my nanny passing from covid a few months back. This year it will be, me, my partner, my 2 boys, my grandad, auntie & brother, spending it together having a lovely Christmas meal, exchanging gifts, drinking some alcohol, watching Christmas Day tv and enjoying some family time, we are determined to make the most of it, even though we will be sad ❤️

Tell us a little bit about how you celebrate the holidays: I usually travel to my home and spend time with family-- but this year will be similar to last year where I just avoid traveling. When I don't travel, I just don't celebrate the holidays much since I don't have anyone to really celebrate it with. Therefore I enjoy hanging out in the online communities and participating in all the events I can to make up for a lack of irl giving and receiving. I'm super grateful that you are hosting this event-- thank you!

Tell us a little bit about how you celebrate the holidays: Every year we go to church for the Christmas Eve candlelight service. It's always so beautiful! I also spend like a day or weekend baking massive amounts of cookies. It's a tradition that my mom and I always did. We also have a collection of holiday films we watch every year: The Grinch, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Santa Clause, and White Christmas. Typically kids get to open 1 present on Christmas Eve and the rest are saved for the next day. Then we either go to my mother in laws or stay here and invite people for a feast. I think I will cook this year so I can show off my new kitchen.

Trying to keep the tradition of Christmas dinner with family and going to see the holiday lights show at our local botanical garden. Baking cookies and just spending time with family and friends!
