hi friends! happy june! summer will officially be upon us very soon, and with it, another exciting quarter at milk! i’ve been hinting at a few things being in the works, so i thought it was time to give you guys a few updates on some of the things coming up this season.
☀️ participation points launch ☀️
during the second half of this month, we will be launching our new participation points system! this new currency system has been under construction since before caps were retired as a feature and is actually something i’ve been wanting to implement for years. i will explain more in the actual information post that comes with the launch, but the basic premise is that you earn these points directly from your participation on the forum, and you will be able to use the points you earn to purchase special prizes from a special shop, among other things! i will also be awarding retroactive points for the last couple of events since caps were discontinued, so everyone who has been active will get some spending money to start out with.
look forward to the official participation points launch coming around mid to late june just in time for milk’s 16th birthday!
☀️ the return of theme weekends ☀️
following the launch of participation points, we will be bringing back our theme weekends as a fun way to earn points in between events! for those who were not around during past theme days/weekends, they are essentially just quick little 1-2 day micro-events where you can earn bonus points for doing specific things such as posting a family banner, putting up adoptions, entering pageants, or even just making lots of posts!
theme weekends will return the weekend following our participation points launch!
☀️ pageant camp ☀️
during july and august we will be running a very special summer camp for all our little models and shutterbugs: pageant camp! it’s okay if your babyz aren’t fans of the outdoors… this camping trip is really more of a glamping trip! there will be activities for babyz of all skill and experience levels, including posing classes and practice pageants for beginners and the return of elite and advanced pageants for our veterans. at the end, there will be a big camp competition to crown the pageant camp king/queen/royalty! we will also be unveiling our new pageant gem system (which is no longer a currency but an exciting update to titles and rankings)!
registration for pageant camp will open at the end of june/early july and camp will officially begin mid to late july and extend through august.
