Photoshop Freezing

A lot of time when I'm using Photoshop, it just freezes when I try to open files. Sometimes it's right after I open the program, other times I'm in the middle of making something when it happens. I'm not sure what's causing it or how to fix it. I use the one from Creative Cloud. It's getting frustrating trying to edit banners and make clothes. Any ideas, please?

i wish i knew how to help with this! i used to have a regular freezing issue when i had photoshop CS6 and also when i pirated it back in the day, but now that i pay for creative cloud i don't have that issue. have you tried contacting adobe?

Thanks, Lacey! I think I figured it out. I guess I have some 3rd party plugins that are trying to run but it's slowing down my Photoshop. I just hold shift when I open it now and it seems to have fixed the issue.
