🎵 it's beginning to look a lot like MILKMAS! 🎵
our merry month of milkmas begins december 1st! normally this would mean that it's time for me to get the secret santa signup going, but this year we are doing something a liiiittle bit different!
this year, everyone gets to decorate their own special milkmas tree for their milky friends to leave gifts beneath!
the gifts will be completely secret until december 25th, so you'll be able to pile all the secret presents you want under your friends' trees.
then, on december 25th, everyone will be able to open their gifts and see what surprises lay waiting for them!
1. pick out a tree
visit the milky mountains tree farm to pick out your very own milkmas tree!

you can also find or make your own tree if you'd prefer not to use a template.
2. decorate your tree
once you've picked out a tree, you can decorate it to your heart's content using any image editing program.
photopea is a great free, in-browser editor that you can use!
3. create your wishlist
come up with a wishlist of things you would love to receive!
this can be anything: a hexed baby with a specific theme you've been wanting, a clothing set to match one of your babyz, artwork, a special custom patch, or even a forum signature or a family banner. this is just to give people some gifting ideas, so they know what you might be looking for. it may also be a good idea to include some likes/dislikes you might have as well, like favorite colors, patterns, or things you're into such as games, tv shows, etc.
4. put up your tree
once you have your tree and your wishlist all set, create a pretty tree thread in our milkmas tree board!
you can do anything you like with this thread: decorate it, use fun fonts and graphics, be creative to your heart's content! don't forget to include your wishlist!
5. play santa!
once you have put up your tree and wishlist, lacey will reply with a link to a special board where members can leave gifts for you!
these boards will be set to "private" - meaning members will ONLY be able to see their own posts in the board, and not anyone else's. this is to make sure no one can peek at their gifts before christmas!!! if you would like to give someone a gift, simply follow the link underneath their tree and post it in their gift board.
then, on dec. 25th, everyone will receive a password to their own milkmas tree boards so that they can open their presents!

giving
🎄 if you are wanting to make sure your gift for someone has not already been done, you may pm ℓacey ☀️ or Trisha (here or on discord) to find out if anyone else has gifted (or asked about) a certain wishlist item. we will try to mitigate duplicate themes as much as possible!
🎄 gifts can be hexed babyz/items, graphics, photoshoots, artwork, quilt patches, coupons/vouchers, or anything you can think of!
🎄 gifts don't need to be crazy complex to be appreciated! as long as they are made with love and thoughtfulness, that is enough.
🎄 if nothing on someone's wishlist speaks to you, that's okay! wishlists are just there to give ideas, but i know that your fellow milkers would appreciate anything you are able to give. it is a great idea to personalize gifts to the recipient and give everyone something a little different!
🎄 gifting deadline is december 24th at 10pm EST!
receiving
🎄 if you put up your own tree, this means you are agreeing to gift at least one other milker. if you put up a tree and wishlist but do not gift anyone before dec. 24, your tree may be removed.
🎄 it is 100% fine to have hex requests on your wishlist, but please try to include things on your wishlist other than just hexed goods, so that our non-hexer members may have an idea of what to gift you if they cannot fulfill any of your hexed requests.
🎄 you may not request a specific hexer or hairstyle in your wishlists. (as an example, saying "high pigtails" is fine, but saying "lacey's popstar pigtails" or "pigtails similar to lacey's popstar pigtails" is not allowed).
🎄 please remember that people are gifting out of the kindness of their hearts; you might not receive every single thing on your wishlist so please don't be upset if you don't receive hexed items or exactly what you want. in this season of community and giving, it's important to remember to be grateful for whatever you receive <3
