I could use help naming my new baby who I have been obsessed with for nearly 15 years, please!! & I love your guys' input and it's definitely something everyone can pipe in and join in with!
BACKSTORY: Her current name is Avery Sue. I'm not fond of Avery because I currently have a family I'm working with that has Avery as the surname of a parent's S/O. & I'm not fond of the name Sue either because we know a couple Sue's we talk about often and while they are nice people, they aren't the type of people I'd fancy to name something after??
HOWEVER..... I love the MEANINGS of Avery & Sue.
Avery - elf ruler -dies- My obsession with elves. lol
Sue - lily -dies again- my lovable 17 year old cat I had named Lily!!
So, that being said I would like to keep the names with very similar meanings!
The middle name will be Avery just because it was literally her name with 3 families!
Alary Avery - (al-uh-ree) Alary is a variant of Avery. It means elf ruler, but it is closer to names such as Alistair, Aleron, Alrik, which I love!! I have a boy named Alistair in my family currently. I like it, but the names are maybe too similar?
Sookie Avery - (soo-kee) Sookie is a variant of Sue, actually! So I would pretty much just be reversing her first and middle name so I'm very fond of this idea! I also really like the different billion spellings that could come out of this.
Livvy Avery - (liv-ee) Livvy means elf army, which is very fitting and totally goes along! Livvy also reminds me of Liv Tyler who played an elf in Lord of the Rings, so I'm fond of the nickname Liv.
Sayuri Avery (si-yur-ee) This is a Japanese name means small lily, which again would be reversing the roles of her name and I like that. I really like Japanese names, but I'm afraid it would be pronounced incorrect or "yuri" may be too masculine or it could be hard to find a nickname.
Vena Avery (vee-nuh) Vena is a variant of the name Alvena, which means elf friend! I like how Vena is literally so short and simple and has so many V's! She could literally be called V or Ve for short even.
I'm also open to alternate spellings as well if anyone wants to contribute ideas to that! IE. Sookie could be Sukey or Suki. Livvy could be Livi, etc.
Thank you!! xx
