hi lovelies!
with so many newbies joining lately and showing interest in hexing, i wondered if it could be helpful to create a series of "hexing classes" in the tutorial section? i know we have lots of tutorials all over the place for babyz hexing, clothes hexing etc. however there aren't a lot of options for updated, detailed tutorials with photos & screenshots that showcase the entire process all in one place. my thinking was i could do these all-inclusive hexing classes structured as follows:
basically this could be a comprehensive starting guide to each type of hexing and a way to feel like you're progressing in the skills.
i was wondering if this is something people would be interested in and use or if you think we have enough tutorials and it isn't necessary? i first learned to hex when i was eleven years old and i've had the opportunity to grow and develop WITH hexing and all the new technology that became available to make it easier over the years. because of that, i have no idea what it's like to join the community right now and try to teach yourself to hex with the resources available. from some of the help threads and comments that i have seen over the last 5 years or so it seems like there could be some improvement here so my goal is to make that experience easier and make hexing more accessible to all! i'd love some input from newer members about what would be most helpful/useful to learn with!

babyz hexing basics
this class would teach you how to hex a basic baby from start to finish including an explanation of the babyz file and where each body part section is, eye color changing, texture list, body tattoos, etc. the idea is by the end of this class you could show off a basic hexed baby you have made using all the different techniques to "graduate".
babyz hexing: all about hair
this class would teach you about all things related to hair and hairstyles including addball movement and the function of linez, hair bmp making and techniques to add depth such as ombreing, and hair tattoos. by the end of this class you could "graduate" by showing that you were able to change a hair texture, add a hair tattoo, move some addballs, connect them, and make a basic pigtail or shape.
intermediate babyz hexing
this class would teach you about a mishmash of more intermediate hexing techniques such as changing the size of body parts or giving body parts a fuzziness/texture. i'm still thinking about other things to include here so feel free to make suggestions/requests!
clothes hexing basics
this class would teach you how to make a basic graphic t-shirt, changing textures and making the belly image. it would also explain about flat vs. addball clothing as well as recolorable clothing bases and where/how to find them. to "graduate" this class you would just need to make a basic miniset including a tshirt, diaper, and accessory recolored/retextured correctly.
clothes hexing: all about creating bases
this class would teach you how to create a new clothing base using addballs and linez. to "graduate" you would need to show a simple accessory that you have altered using the technique.
toy hexing basics
this class would teach you how to create a simple sprite-based toy. it would include information about using different sprites to animate the toy. by the end of this class you could "graduate" by presenting a basic sprite toy you had created.
toy hexing: all about addball toys
this class would teach you how to create an addball plush including information about addballs and linez as well as textures. to "graduate" you would need to show a simple addball toy you had created.
playscene hexing basics
i already have a video on this but for those who don't like learning by video, this would be a text and photo based tutorial like the others above showing how to create a playscene and edit sprites.
