Windows 10/no disc

Lol no magic file for viavoice, when I downloaded that babyz zip it didn't work for me either and I had to find an install for it by searching around google... but I didn't have windows 10 at the time, so I dunno. Good luck!!

Kelley, you deserve a gold medal! I've been having so much fun playing Babyz!

Just as an FYI on the ViaVoice issue for Windows 10 - I tried Carolyn's installation and I wasn't able to get it to work. I also found a download on the Internet that had the exact same files and it didn't work, either. I'll keep trying and if I find a magic way to get it to work, I'll let you guys know

Has anyone successfully installed ViaVoice yet? It's driving me insane not to be able to take good pictures!

Annie, I have Babyz working fully smoothly on Windows 10 with viavoice and all. You have to move your game to the documents folder, rather than the C drive it puts itself in. For me, I just put it in the documents and it installed viavoice itself. I didn't have to set it up or anything, but that may be because my laptop has a built in microphone and maybe it just picked up on it? If you have a plug in/headset mic, then you'll probably have to set it up in the games viavoice setup option.

Babyz has previously been working fine on my windows 10 computer.

Went on a download spree, game still worked, closed it, wouldn't open again and gave me that "abort or debug" screen.

I downloaded a fresh game from a pirate I had on my laptop: sane thing, worked once, and then wouldn't work after a restart if the game/opening again.

Downloaded the file on Google here: same thing.

I don't know if my computer is broke or just my game and I'm sad and confused.

Restarted/currently scanning/cleaning my hard drive but if anyone has any thoughts as to why this weird thing is happening.... ;-;

Jazz there are a few things that I've found make this happen. If it's opening the first time okay the registry is probably okay. Is there a specific baby you have out when trying to open the game? Sometimes they get broken and the game won't load with them in the adopted baby folder. Or if there are any toys out anywhere in your game they might have bad sprites making the game crash. It could also be a toy or clothes file you've added recently being corrupted, but if the game is opening then idk.

I'm mostly confussed because I couldn't get a completely vanilla game with none of my stuff in it to work - I tried taking out babyz/toys because I've had that sort of thing happen in petz. This feels like a while other weird thing.

Unless somehow the vanilla game in my other folder is grabbing from files on other parts of my computer/having two copies of the game in two places is causing something weird. Maybe I'll move my babyz/files onto an external and try a vanilla game, idk.

Ahhhh I hope my laptop didn't suddenly go bonkers and bust on me this is so strange. Maybe the scan that is currently running will help :/

It could be that something in your registry is broken, have you tried uninstalling the game through the add/remove programs before installing a clean copy?

Oh that could be. I accidentally installed it in program files before installing it into my documents so I used the add/remove option before I did the vanilla game again.

The setup from the pirate file also got super fussy on me and after 2 tries of installing/deleting from my doc's it doesn't seem to want to open?

So I think a registry may be possible actually even tho I hardly know what that means or how to fit it lmao.
