How does everyone feel about adopting Babyz who were hexed based on a character from fiction? I mean, if it's a baby whose looks are based on one specific character but still could pass as a generic baby with no specific references to their origin, and were free to be renamed - would you be likely at all to adopt that baby, even if you knew nothing about the fandom? Or would you never be able to get past their roots? Curious as I have a hexing idea in mind but have no idea if they would get adopted!
I've had babyz based off characters in the past and I just can't click with them because I'm unable to assign them their own character since they remind me so much of the character from that show/book/movie/game ect. However if, like you say, they are hexed around the idea of that character then that works for me personally. A good example is that a Harry Potter themed baby would be awesome, but I wouldn't be able to click was a baby that was hexed to look exactly like the actual character Harry Potter if that makes sense. So based on the example you have given, yes I would. If I didn't know the character the baby was hexed to look like, then it wouldn't matter because I can still assign my own personality to them.

LMAO i might be a fan no but i love having babyz based on characters regardless of whether their personalities align (i actually find it fun if they don't), HOWEVER, i do find that if i hex a baby to look like a character (eleven and amethyst, for example) i have a lot of trouble parting with them for whatever reason! perhaps because i associate them with the attachment to that character? but yeah i love having them personally! and it's quite fun to hex them too!
I love the idea. If I was a hexer there are a bunch of characters and celebrities I'd love to do. And I agree it helps make them feel even more that they have a unique personality. They are just fun and it feels like you have piece of something you love so much for yourself.
I actually love babyz hexed off characters! I don’t know if it’s the deciding factor when choosing to go for an adoption because I just like anything that’s cute, so it’s not too hard to make me happy rofl
My baby Marnie wasn't created to be based on the character I named her for. But her coloring, especially the orange in her hair reminded me of Halloween and one of the characters from one of my favorite Halloween movies "Halloween Town". It was an American Disney tv movie so if you're not from the US you may not have heard about it... but if you're a fan of our little holiday(which I am BIG time) you might want to watch it.
I don't mind babyz based on characters, but I typically have had a rough time clicking with them in past. I think sometimes they don't always obtain a form of uniqueness if people have multiple of the same character. Especially if that character always has hair in a pigtails or something and they're usually named the same.
I actually really prefer character-babyz who are more inspired by a character. Like you can tell that's the character, but there's obviously a lot of stuff that's different. It gives them more uniqueness and a sense of your own!
