I finally finished the hexing grid tool (to the best of my ability haha).
It's based on a size 30 ball; so if you are using larger or smaller ball sizes you will have to allow for that.
I've given it a test run and it seems pretty spot on to me. It's designed for use on the head, so it's not very useful I'm afraid if you want to attach something to a foot for example.
Depending on the popularity I might make more tools; I was thinking of doing a similar sort of thing for the Z axis (forwards and backwards).
Anyway, here it is. It may be taken down from here at some point, but it will always be available on babyz.org.
Oh wow, this must have taken forever to make! Thank you so much, Kennedy! I saved it off and put it with my other hexing tools so I won't forget about it. Thank you for sharing with everyone!

This is kinda tangentially related I guess? I have notes on how I hex long hair in terms of how I do the xyz and keep track of all my strands and stuff that I never bothered to post because you pretty much need to already be able to visualize the xyz... but now with the chart it might be useful to someone? would anyone be interested? if not that's totally fine too.
