Making Hexed Toys show up on their own?

First I hexed an overwriting toy. It was lovely! Then I followed the babyz.org tutorial PERFECTLY. in the hex editor and in lnz pro. my toy doesn't show up in the closet now! (before I did the hex editor part after the lnz pro part it showed up as a blank space and crashed the game ). What now? I am hexing the rubber ducky (yes, there is a reason for it, which you all shall see when I release it ).
EDIT: I went back to the overwriting one and rehexed it 30 billion times over and over following the directions. Eventually it worked, but I didn't do anything different that I can tell. Any idea what I might have done wrong? otherwise I think I might stick to clothes xD

I've tried hexing toys recently too and have had similar issues. I'm guessing I just missed one somewhere or something. But yeah, when things mess up, I sometimes just completely start over and it suddenly works. Weird. xD

You changed the ID numbers. Did you change the picture in Tinker, too? So it's basically a new toy all on it's own?

I had an issue when I was hexing toys where I got the new item, but as soon as I pulled it out, it turned into the item I hexed it from (the stuffed man).

I was co-existing on my site with a lot of help from Dani of DRN. She wrote that tutorial for me and because my issue was the items would collide every time I pulled them out.

Hexing toys is pretty scary at first because of the game crashes, but once you get the hang of it can be just as easy as anything else!!

I changed ID numbers, item name, sprite name/pointers, and images, and it crashed the game over.and.over. I will take a peak at that tutorial though, maybe it will shed light on it! thank you Angelica!

I *adore* sherlock software, but sometimes I swear we need like a sims-style all in one editor! And I'm DYING to edit the attributes on the inside of the file (bad noisy, fuzziness, weight etc)..... *sigh*. that way we could be making entirely new toys and even editing playscenes to for example, have a crib AND the playroom shelves *dreams*....
