Install Issue- someone please help!

I had been playing Babyz perfectly on my Windows 10 laptop since I installed the software update last year, but yesterday I ran into an issue. I had accidently enabled PetzA profiles in my game, and when I went to open the game after to undo that, it kept freezing on the load screen as it tried to open the profile chooser. I uninstalled PetzA, hoping to get rid of the issue. That let the game open, but it repeatedly froze and got stuck on the same sound. From there, I figured a reinstall would help. Confidently, I popped the disk in and waited, but AutoPlay wouldn't open. I manually opened the AutoRun. When I click on the Install Babyz option, the dialog closes, but nothing happens. I've also tried manually clicking Setup, but that doesn't open either. What should I try next? I really miss playing!

There are a few people here who run Babyz on Windows 10 - I believe the general thought is that the game cannot be installed onto Windows 10, it needs to be there when you update from 8 to 10 or you can copy a full backup of the game across to my documents and that works. Hopefully one of our amazing members will now swoop in and tell us they have found a way!

Yea theres a link somewhere to all the files, they need to go in the documents file as above

I'm on my phone at the moment so can't link but there's another thread on this subject that I have kept stickied in this board (the clinic) at the end of which one of our members kindly provided a fresh download of her babyz folder. if you copy that into my documents you should be able to play instantly. you may have trouble with ViaVoice but the game will work at least!

Ok... I got the file downloaded, but now it's giving me a verbasset.dll debug message. What should I do about that?

I'm not sure I'm thinking of the right message, but I may get that one.

Are you running as administrator? If I do that I don't get a bug message.
