Okay, so i know there's a way to do this - i've gotten it to work once before. However, i've somehow lost this information in my brain and i'm working on a clothing set, and i'm having trouble finding my answer using the search function, haha.
Anyone know how to turn a bmp into a 256 color bmp? Thank you in advance to anyone who can help! I'm using Photoshop CC 2015 if that makes a difference.

Lacey told me about hw to do it in psp.. but im guessing its a similar menu.. something along the lines of image reduce resolution or reduce colours. Not very helpful but maybe it pops back into your head with my rubbish help haha x
^ i don't use psp nat so i don't think that was me!
but Krissy yes it's easy to do! once you've finished making the bmp, go to image > mode > indexed color and on the window that pops up, pick "local (perceptual)" from the dropdown menu and make sure it says 256 in the "colors" field and you should be set! :D
