hexed crackers aren't showing up as themselves? [close pls!]

I am. very confused lol

I'm hexing some Halloween treats from the cracker box but the treats are still showing up as animal crackers even though they've been tinkered. The box itself shows up fine, it's JUST the crackers that won't cooperate?? I've tried a bunch of different IDs and sprite names but nothing seems to be working, and I have no idea what else the problem could be ?

Can anyone offer some advice or assistance? <3

Are you hexing it like you would the stuffed man? I know there are some weird specific things and extra steps you have to do for the cracker box (jamie has a good tutorial!) so I just wanted to check first!

I was actually following Jamie's tutorial! I read it over a few times but I don't think I missed anything, I really have no idea what I could be doing wrong lol;;

The cracker box is a pain - you have to go through and change the sprites for the box and the individual crackers >.<
Although not as easy to follow, Carolyn's tutorial is tried and tested

Thank you Budgie! I followed the tutorial there for making the crackers show up right, but it's still not working?? I am so completely at a loss ?

I have so many problems with hexed food like that - with the cookie jar I can get it to work, but then for no reason no hexed cookie jars will work after a while >.<

I do have other hexed cracker boxes in my game and they're working fine, so it's definitely a problem with mine and not the game just being old and weird :/ Maybe I'll try hexing from a hexed cracker box instead of the game one??

Edit: Welp, that didn't work either ? Now they're showing up as what I hexed them from. I am seriously so confused, I have no idea what I could possibly be missing here...

this is why so many of my toys are overwriting

i wish i could be helpful but the one time i hexed from the cracker box i couldn't get it to work and ended up just changing the sprites on one of the weirder foods from d-r-n >.> they really are a giant pain so i wish you good luck!

Hmmm, I may end up doing that too for now </3 I'll keep working on it and see if I can figure it out!
