yet another viavoice help needed thread!

so i was on windows 10 before i think, but now i'm back on windows 7 & i can't get viavoice to work.

i've tried changing the compatibility, running as admin, downloading the ibm installer from here, babyz is installed in my documents..

all that happens when i open the viavoice installer is a spinny wheel cursor for a few seconds & then nothing, & the game won't let me click the yellow button & isn't recognising any mic..

I think if it's on windows 7, your game will work with the viavoice that the disk comes with! I never had to use that alternative viavoice install until I had windows 10. unless you've already tried that, then I am unsure. I've forgotten how I used to get it to work otherwise.

On Windows 10, Viavoice install kept opening as a background program whenever I wanted to try to open the installation (which you can see in task manager). I wonder if that's what it's doing to you?

I don't know HOW it got fixed because I couldn't figure out how to make it not do that. I just left my CD in my computer and like a week later out of nowhere it opened up and I was like OKAY WEIRD TIMING BUT I'LL TAKE IT? And it's worked ever since.

Soooo I can't really offer a solution except to keep trying if that's the problem. I hope you get it sorted out! <3

ahhh i've never had a disk of babyz! i've just always lugged my babyz folder from one PC to another kind of thing. i did try to download a clean version to a different folder & try to run the viavoice installation in there but that didn't work either..
