Excel relinezing help?

Hi all!

I am going off this tutorial because this is amazing and I would love to hex more using this!!

However, I'm just not getting it?? Can someone help me with this please?

What I'm trying to do is take a code that needs the ballz to be re-added and it needs to be added at the end of other hair codes starting at ball 213. I'm not quite sure what I need to subtract to get the right number? I've tried all sorts of theories, but none of it works so it doesn't add correctly.

So the code looks like...

63 ...
63 ...

139 ...

(etc.)

But the first two balls would be numbered 213 and 214, so respectively that 139 should be turned into a 214.
I ended up copying and pasting it in excel starting at 213. There are only 26 lines in the code, but it didn't add up right so I did some of my own funky math and it ended up being 49 was the magic add number oddly?
How do I do this to make it easier and what am I missing? lol Also, I didn't get what was meant by the "first code" and "second code" because I thought it was just one style, so I feel like I'm overlooking something super simple. lol

& then when I tried to do it for linez, 49 didn't work at all and neither did 26!! I ended up adding the 26 to the 49 number I figured out earlier and it worked. whaaat. lol

Basically, I did get it to work, but it took a lot of extra weird math and guessing and it took longer than expected. & I feel like I'll be flailing and doing a lot of extra adding/subtracting again if I attempt it again that's not necessary lol

Can someone let me know what step(s) I'm not doing right, please?

Also thanks so much Lilibet for the tutorial!! I always thought I could use excel for this sort of thing, but I never really had to use excel except for simple calculations for work. Thank you!

if your 139 needs to be 214 etc then you need to add 75 to every starting number that isn't 63! that's why your 26+49 worked. because 214-139 is 75! so you subtract the number you have for the ball from the number you want for the ball to get the difference, then that's what you add to everything.

the first code and second code in that tutorial is the hairstyle and the cat parts, so the first code is basically all addballz that you don't need to change numbering for & the second is all the ones you do need to change numbering for.

so, the other way to work out your 75 subtraction number would be to paste all the addballs (except for the game/non hexed ones ofc) into excel from row 0, remove any commented out rows, and then the first line of your 'second code' should be on row 76. that means your first code has 75 balls, so that's what you need to change the second code by.

does that make sense? let me know if you have more questions!
