Clothes corrupt, tinker? (resolved?)

I am creating a jumper/clo file. It shows up GREAT, exactly how it's supposed to in the game. But when it's in the closet, it shows up awful. I used a template from Babyz.org, but it didn't show up right either. So I made my own (pictured)

I decreased it to 256 and saved it as a bmp... what am I doing wrong?? It's like it's corrupt, but when it's on the baby, it shows up right. I did the exact same steps in the actual clothes bmp file, and that shows up right.

Check that your tinker settings are set for Babyz and not Petz.

I changed the settings and saved with 256 colors..still not working

It's really frustrating ~ could it be my system? Because that's why I couldn't even hex bottles. I was having issues with making their own thumbnail in the cabinet. It would clash.

I changed to the photopea editor that Lacey suggested in a previous thread and now this is what it does xD

I just can't lolololol I saved the bmp in photopea with the background #FF00FF (transparent in game). I also noticed that some of the other clothes in the game have a faint purple outline around them. So I'm REALLY thinking it's mine.. on the plus side, people can find my downloads in their closets?!?!?! lmao*shootme*rofl

Can someone download it and see how it shows up in their game?? you just place all files in the clothes folder. I had a brain fart while trying to embed the clothes file and was like *dude, this is too advanced for me* and I did the old way~ lol. Lawd help me.

Angelica🧁 i fixed your file and embedded the bmp for you! you can download the fixed file here.
 

the issue was your image - i find in tinker it's actually easier to upload the hanger images as plain old transparent PNGs, which tinker accepts. it also looks like you didn't have your babyz palette turned on. you can do that in the tinker settings, here:

  

and then as far as embedding bmps, it's actually really simple! if you open your file in LNZ pro you just right click on the white sidebar area and select "add resource", then browse for your bmp file:

 

and then in the "CLZ" area just make sure the filename is written in there somewhere. doesn't matter what the location is written as, you actually could just write "angelica-dinos1.bmp" with no file location and it would work all the same since it's embedded.



and then save the file and that's it! i hope that helps - it's a really cute jumper!

also as a final note, if you want to save 256 bmps in photopea you need to reduce the colors first or it won't work. i explained the process in the photopea thread!

so I can write \angelica-dinos1.bmp -- without the root and stuff??

I *do* have the babyz palette turned on. I keep checking it thinking it's not saving lol.

Angelica🧁 yup, as long as the bmp is embedded you don't need the root since it's in the file!

also yeah i just saw in your second example you did have the babyz palette on, it just looks like it wasn't saving as 256 properly. so like i said i recommend a transparent png for tinker! they behave much nicer haha.

SO I DON'T EVEN NEED THE MAGENTA BACKGROUND? ??
