Installing on Mac?

Hey guys! Ancient BCer here returning for my dose of nostalgia! <3 Has anyone had any luck installing babyz on a mac recently? I tried this tutorial babyz.org/tutorials/mac.html but I think the engine it requires is out of date, I'm no longer able to download it so I'm having some issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated! <3

yikes!! sorry to hear that the engine has stopped updating. :/

would you consider running a virtual machine on your computer? it might be a bit of work but if you plan to play a couple games from that era (babyz, petz, etc) then it might be worth it to make one?

Thanks for your help, guys! Status report: I've gotten the game to open and allow me to put in a serial code, however as soon as I do that, it freezes and nothing happens I also tried just opening the game by popping in an old baby file I found in my email into the adopted babyz folder, but when I opened it, it didn't recognize that there was a baby in the adopted babyz folder and gave me the prompt for the code again and froze once i entered one. I'm running the game via a Wineskin wrapper but the engine I'm using isn't the one specified in the tutorial (babyz.org/tutorials/mac.html) because that specific engine doesn't seem to be offered anymore, there are only newer versions, so i'm not sure if that's the issue?

Oh yes ! This is a start ! You need to make sure you have petza installed now ! Babyz doesn't work without it. I found this out while installing mine 🤣🤣 as soon as the baby makes a sound the whole game crashes !
