I realised that I do this a lot but I don't think anyone's ever actually explained how to do so.
So basically, I hex a lot of animal ears and wings etc onto babyz, but I like to then transfer them into clothing items because they also make cute accessories!

*PLEASE NOTE - It's easier to hex onto a baby and turn it into a clothing item then the other way round due to a lot of clothes being sized funny*
Please meet today's test subjects
Base Baby & Base Baby w Antlers (creative names I know)
SO the plan is, turn the antlers (a hexed on hairpiece you can't remove) into a clothing item that can be taken off.
You'll need both a plain baby and the baby with the hexed on accessory in your game so you can actually test the accessory.
First things first, you'll need to use an addballz clothing item as a base, so you can't use a top or babygrow etc, I'm starting with my wings item as a base. I cloned the wings file & renamed it to 'antlers'.
Once opened I immediately went into the RCData. In here you'll want to change the Breed ID Number.
For this, when I'm creating a new item I tend to use the number 30000 as I don't have any clothing items with that number in my closet, it also brings it to the very top of the closet so it's easier to locate when hexing.

Once you've changed the Breed ID, save the file.
Now open the game, Close the game, Reopen the game and then finally close it again.
The first time you open the game it's just created the item and it'll be somewhere random in the closet, the second time you open the game the item will now be in it's correct place in the clothes closet. You only need to do this when changing the Breed ID.
Go into the Clothes Section and it should look something like this, lots of addballz and linez.
First things first highlight all the linez except ONE, we're going to keep that as our linez base. Delete all the ones you've highlighted.
With the single Line you've left put a ; infront so it won't show up in game, we're just saving it for use later and don't want it attached to anything yet.
Now highlight all of the addballz except the bBall and ONE line of addballz, delete all of the highlighted ones.
I'm only keeping this one so I know what the clothes addballz are meant to look like.
Your file should look something like this now. You've got the bBall, the spare ball, and the spare line that we've hidden.
The part highlighted in blue is an important part of the file as it'll set the size.
I have mine set to 100 for all 3 of them.
Now it's time to open up the babyz file.
Go into the addballs section of the baby
Highlight and copy the parts you want. If I'm trying to make antlers or ears etc, I'll only copy the left side rather than both sides.
We're working in the clothing item again now
Copy the babyz addballs over to the clothing file.
If you see the baseball, it's currently set to 4, that means it's based off the tummy! I'm going to change this to 63 so it attaches to the head.
Now, all the first numbers are currently at 63, other than the base ball, change all of these into a 0.
Now change all of the end numbers to the clothes texture number, I only have 1 texture in my clothing item so I set mine to 0.
For every single addball you'll want to delete this section.
All of your addballs should look something like this now.
Now, delete this section too for every addball.
Your addballs should now look like this.
If you look, the ones we've made should now look like the original clothing addball!
Open the game and test the item.
It should look like just the addballs, and then a random floaty ball which was our tester ball we kept.
Close the game again.
I've deleted my spare addball so now all I have is the antlers addballs.
Since I'm making antlers, I've duplicated the addballs in the clothing item and just removed the '-' so they appear on the right side of the head. I also numbered all of the addballs so I know what I'm attaching things to.
Reopen the baby file
Copy the linez and we'll paste them into the clothing item.
Reopen the clothing item
I've now removed the ; from my spare line and I'll be using this rather than editing the babyz linez.
Now you need to see what line correlates to what number in the clothing item.
number 138 will now be number 1.
I can see by the first set of linez that it's just going up in order, so I'll just recreate that with my spare line.
Now I've recreated the linez I delete the ones I was basing them off.
The next set of linez start with 138 which is 1 again, though the rest are 143 or higher.
I'll set the 138 to 1 and the 143 now correlates to number 6.
Now we know how to do the linez just repeat that for the last ones.
All my linez are done so I delete the ones from the babyz that I copied over.
Save & now open the game.
Here's the clothing item in game!
I hope this helps!
