since this is intermediate toy hexing, i am assuming that you have already been through the introductory course and understand the importance of being careful while toy hexing! however i am going to remind you of the two most important rules again, because they are that important.
1. do not skip ahead; do everything in the exact order that it is listed in each lesson.
2. always remember to put away the item you are hexing every single time before you close the game and change it again.
remember: the number one cause of the debug error while hexing is from changing a file that has been left out on the floor of a playscene. this simple error causes a game to debug even more than an actual hexing mistake does! so please always remember rule #2 while you are hexing, and honestly this is a good rule of thumb for everyday gameplay as well to avoid issues! always put everything away, just like your momma taught you.
what are addball toys?
in this lesson we will be covering how to hex addball toys! as the name suggests, addball toys are made with good old addballs and linez just like some other things in the game you may be familiar with, like addball clothing or babyz hairstyles!
if you are not sure how to tell which toys are addball toys, you just need to look at how they move in the game.
as you can see the toys above move a bit more dynamically than other toys in the game. their limbs move separately from their bodies, they flop and fall over, and sort of act like a real stuffed animal would. all of these toys are made with addballs and lines just like a baby is!
addball toys are my personal favorite kind of toy because they fit the game style so well and they really have a "plushie" look to them which makes me happy. they are also very fun to hex imo!
if you've taken my introduction to toy hexing course, you will find that this course is a lot more open-ended than that one. it assumes that you have already learned to hex a basic toy, and that you have had had some prior experience with hexing addballs and linez. if you haven't hexed with addballs and linez before but really want to take this course anyway, you can refer to my lessons on hexing addballz and linez in a babyz file. they work the same way here!
since it is assumed that you have prior experience with these techniques, this course does not have any addball or line demos. i am just going to show you the different parts of the file and explain how to hex with them, but we won't be doing the actual shaping of the toy together. this course will give you the tools and information so that you can create new ideas for addball toys on your own!
