Hello, everyone, and thank you for such a warm welcome! I so appreciate your kindness!
So, as a project for dipping my toes into the hexing world, I’ve found myself longing for a Babyz-fied version of a certain character whose series I’ve been hyperfixating on for the past three years, and it’s this guy (also, coincidentally, from an obscure but beloved 90s game).
If you don’t know him, his name is Abe, and he’s an alien called a Mudokon. Mudokons happen to share a lot of features with Babyz, largely to make them cute, and Abey here is no exception.
So, I am NOT asking anyone here to make Abe for me, but I’m hoping you might be willing and able to offer help and advice as I set about trying to render him in Babyz form. (fingers crossed!)
So! I intend to break this project down into steps:
Step 1: Change the skin colour to blue. Abe also has a pale chest and belly, but that’s not vital
Step 2: Change the eyes – irises to amber, and scelera to yellow
If I can get these first two steps done, I’ll be happy. The following steps is where I’ll probably need the forum’s support and advice.
Step 3: Try to reduce the nose to virtually non-existent. Abe has no nose or even visible nostrils. From what I understand, this would involve changing the line colour to his skin colour, am I right?
Step 4: hair. This will be difficult. I’d want a single ponytail in purple and yellow, or something that resembles feathers. Only you guys would know if that’s feasible.
Step 5: point the ears, if that can be done (I know these guys are constructed of balls)
Step 6: stitches. This isn’t completely necessary, as I can easily pretend this is from before Abe was given his stitches – however, they were in place from infancy, so having them would be accurate. I think these would take the form of facial tattoos.
So, that's my plan. It's probably a little ambitious for my first hexing project, but even if I can only recolour the babyz to resemble him, that would be something.
I would very much appreciate any advice you all have. After all, you are the experts!
